Mai Visti e Altre Storie è un progetto di valorizzazione dell’Arte Irregolare – storicamente definita come Art Brut e più di recente Outsider Art – avviato nel 2015 grazie al censimento delle collezioni piemontesi e che è proseguito con la loro schedatura e con la pubblicazione di un archivio on-line. Si è offerto e si offre come occasione per riflettere sulla permeabilità dei confini tra questo patrimonio artistico e pratiche artistiche contemporanee riconosciute, considerando l’arte e la cultura come beni condivisibili e strumenti di cittadinanza attiva.
Mai Visti e Altre Storie (Never Seen and Other Stories) is a project for enhancement of Irregular Art – historically known as Art Brut and lately as Outsider Art – that starts from cataloguing the collections of Piedmont and proceeds with the publication of an online archive. It provides opportunities to reflect on the permeability of the boundaries between mainstream and outsider art, considering art and culture as shared heritage and instruments for active citizenship.
